Jakarta — PT WIKA Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur (WTJJ) has officially marked a new milestone in its transformation journey by successfully securing Green Financing valued at IDR 1.29 trillion. The Green Financing Agreement was signed on September 29, 2025.
This green financing not only strengthens WTJJ’s business fundamentals but also opens strategic opportunities, including enabling limited dividend distribution, optimizing share valuation, achieving CDS financial close, and creating room for broader expansion. This achievement represents a pivotal moment for WTJJ to further solidify its position as a national role model in the drinking water sector, driven by a strong commitment to sustainable transformation. The signing ceremony was conducted by WTJJ President Director Rendy Ardiansyah and AVP Commercial VI Banking of Bank Mandiri, Dirasia Sitepu. The event was witnessed by the Director General of Human Settlements, Dewi Chomistriana, and attended by officials and board members from WTJJ, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk as the majority shareholder, and PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia.
The success of this financing reflects strong synergy across all organizational levels and full support from stakeholders, including the Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum as the Contracting Agency (PJPK) and PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia as guarantor. WTJJ’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles has also led to outstanding recognition, ranking first in Asia and within the global top three in the water sector category. The company’s transformation program — centered on a cash-focused strategy, operations and maintenance excellence, and business sustainability — has been a key driver of this achievement.
WTJJ President Director Rendy Ardiansyah stated that the green financing demonstrates stakeholders’ confidence in the company’s fundamentals and long-term prospects. The funding will be used to replace existing conventional credit facilities while expanding green-based financing capacity, further reinforcing WTJJ’s financial foundation. This is expected to generate optimal value for shareholders, government partners, and the wider community.
Meanwhile, WTJJ Supervisory Director Hadjar Seti Adji emphasized that this achievement is the result of collective dedication and collaboration. The green financing strengthens the company’s sustainability while reinforcing ESG recognition at national, regional, and global levels. As the majority shareholder, PT Wijaya Karya continues to encourage all subsidiaries to adopt ESG and green management practices. Optimism remains high that WTJJ will further solidify its role as a pioneer in Indonesia’s sustainable drinking water sector.
Director General Dewi Chomistriana expressed appreciation for WTJJ’s success in securing green financing aligned with the national sustainable development agenda in the drinking water sector. According to her, this initiative highlights that water infrastructure management goes beyond availability — it prioritizes sustainability, sound governance, and ESG contributions. The SPAM Regional Jatiluhur I project, a National Strategic Project delivered through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, stands as a point of pride, and this financing is expected to further strengthen confidence in PPP frameworks, particularly in the water sector. She hopes WTJJ will continue serving as a benchmark for other SPAM projects across Indonesia.
With this milestone, WTJJ reaffirms its position as a key player in the national drinking water sector, committed to sustainable business transformation, innovation, and delivering positive impact for all stakeholders and the broader community.
